What to Expect During Your Experience
The Creative Flow:
We begin each session with a fun mini-lesson and warm-up, where you’ll get a feel for the brushstrokes and high-quality pigments. Following the warm-up, we will spend the heart of our session on the featured project. To ensure a stress-free start, your design is pre-outlined on a premium 5" x 7" sheet of 140lb watercolor paper (the standard size for easy matting and framing after the event).
Keep the Inspiration Flowing:
Because everyone paints at their own pace and skill level, I always bring extra supplies to keep the creative experience flowing. If you finish your main piece early or wish to refine your new skills, I provide additional blank papers, folded cards with envelopes, instructions, and specialized tools to easily transfer designs to a fresh sheet.
Bonus Finishing Touches
While guests are welcome to complete their own final framing and matting at home, I often bring along a limited supply of bonus 8" x 10" mats (currently available in neutral gray). These are provided on a first-come, first-served basis to help you see how beautiful your finished work looks in a mat!

FAQs
How do these projects differ from typical acrylic "Paint & Sip" designs?
Watercolor is a beautiful, delicate medium that requires a much different approach than thick, quick-drying acrylics. Because watercolor relies on transparency and specific drying times between layers, a streamlined design is the key to a successful painting.
Most paint party guests are total beginners, and they need time to get comfortable with the paint. Since watercolor has a unique learning curve, we dedicate time at the start of every party to "warming up." We practice brush control and doodle on scrap paper to get comfortable before we begin painting the main project.
These designs are thoughtfully created with my "art teacher mindset" to ensure success. By focusing on clean, intentional subjects, I can help you master water control and color blending without the stress of overly complex designs.
How many projects will we do?
Between our initial warm-up, the necessary drying stages for watercolor, and the fun of socializing, there is typically time for one full, detailed project per guest.
However, for those who move a bit quicker, I always carry extra materials, such as blank paper and cards/envelopes - perfect for creating "little doodles" or custom greeting cards while the rest of the group finishes their paintings. This way everyone can continue the creative flow until the very end of the party!
What if I finish the project early?
To keep the inspiration flowing, I always bring along an assortment of extra blank paper, cards with envelopes, and special tools to experiment with. If you finish your main project quickly and would like more painting time, you are welcome to use these materials to practice your new skills, try a second version of the design, or explore your own original ideas until the end of the session.
Is there room for more experienced painters to experiment?
Absolutely! While my starter designs are streamlined for success, they serve as a flexible foundation. Advanced or adventurous painters are encouraged to get creative with intricate details, unique textures, custom backgrounds, or hand-lettering. I work closely with painters of all experience levels to provide a tailored, rewarding experience for every guest in the group.
When should I tell you my party's design choice?
At least 48 hours before your event, please. If I'm traveling or preparing for a big art festival then there may be an earlier deadline.
I specially prepare your party's design choice on watercolor paper so it's immediately ready to paint the day of your party.
What if we didn't tell you our choice in time?
Then it's Art Teacher's choice! :-) Because I prepare the designs on paper ahead of time, I need some advanced notice. If I don't hear from you, I will pick a design and start prepping the watercolor paper and the example paintings.
Do you make special request designs?
I love creating new things! If you have a specific theme in mind, please reach out at least two weeks before your event. As long as I'm not traveling or preparing for an art festival, I’d love to help.
I deeply respect the intellectual property of the art community and I do not recreate designs by other artists. Nor do I work from anyone's AI-generated pictures.
However, I am always happy to use your inspiration photos of real nature or landscapes to create a unique, original piece specifically for your event!
Do you use AI for your designs?
Definitely not. All designs are hand-drawn and copyrighted by Rebecca Block, a real human. I am proud to say I create the designs from real life sketches and photos.
My process involves sketching, simplifying lines with beginner painters in mind, scanning into a computer, adjusting the file, and printing the design on watercolor paper through a printer that can handle the thicker paper.
We are currently updating our catalog with fresh, high-quality images of our designs. Some placeholders remain, but all listed projects are available for selection! Please ask if you'd like to see samples of a particular design that does not have pictures yet.
