Description:
Learn how to paint a nature-inspired design with watercolor as you relax with family, friends and new creative friends. All levels of watercolor experience are welcome, especially total beginners and folks getting back into art after a long time!
We'll use high-quality watercolor paints and paper with a pre-drawn design for ease of learning. We'll fill in the lines like a [water]coloring book on a 5x7" paper.
Along the way you'll learn more about the how's and why's of watercolor paint that will lead you to a deeper understanding of how to work with it so you can unleash your hidden creativity.
I hope you'll finish the night with excitement and the knowledge to pick up a new hobby in this beautiful (and easy-to-clean) painting media!
Goals of Watercolor Class for Adults:
- learn to let go of the perfection and have fun!
- understand why the watercolor paint, paper, and water interact the way they do
- become more confident in your painting skills so you can overcome the fear and get creative on your own
Supplies:
All supplies are included at the studio! You'll use high-quality supplies for vibrant results, practice some key skills, and paint in a "watercoloring page" outline designed by Rebecca. Feel free to bring a snack and covered drink! (I won't ask what's in it! But obviously, be responsible with it.....whatever it may be.)

My home studio is in my garage in Waipahu, mauka from Lowe's off H1/exit 7. Exact address will be manually emailed after registration. Please check your inbox and spam folder for my name if you don't see it within 1 business day. (search your email for "Rebecca Block" or "Hawaii Art Classes")
Other:
Each month will have a different nature-inspired or Hawai'i-inspired design, meant to build your confidence in this lovely medium. All experience levels are welcome, from total beginner to more experienced painters who want to increase their watercolor skills.
Ticket is for one night. Select each date you would like to come and add it to your cart. You'll learn more each month you come!

We'll do a couple of small warm-up watercolor doodles, then we'll paint the main project on a 5x7 piece of high-quality watercolor paper.
