Develop technical skill and brushwork with a logical approach to acrylic painting.

Acrylic paint is a versatile, fast-drying medium that is excellent for learning how to build layers and match colors. In these private lessons, we focus on craftsmanship, technical skills, color mixing, and brushwork. Rebecca guides you through the process in a logical manner, demonstrating techniques alongside you to help you understand the "hows and whys" of this fun paint.

What’s Included in Your Experience

• Logical Color Mixing: Learn a clear system for mixing colors to avoid "mud" and how to create depth in your paintings.
• Flexible Project Choice: Students have the flexibility to work on subjects of their choosing. However, "generative" AI and other copies of other artists' work is actively discouraged.
• Technical Instruction: Rebecca focuses on teaching skills and concepts that you can apply to any painting, not making students paint in a certain style.
• Observational Painting: We work from reference photos and real-life objects. Rebecca teaches students a method of planning their paintings via thumbnail sketches and value studies, but complexity varies by age.
